We have eaten at the Big Oak for breakfast twice now. Both times I got an omelet. This last visit the omelet was over cooked. The filling choices for the omelet were very limited and the grits were under cooked.
During a recent dinner evening with friends, had to return my dinner selection as it was pretty bad. Owner/cook rude and abusive after my refusal to pay for the entree.
I was in this restaurant two days ago for take out. A woman who seemed to be the owner was talking trash about some guy and some odor. It was not very professional. My dinner was ok.
This little gem offers good menu options whatever meal you enjoy. Food is delicious and a great value. Delightful locally owned dining establishment.
I loved the decor and atmosphere here, and the food was great too. Well worth the few extra miles you have to travel off the beaten path (Rt. 17) to get here.
