Had 3 course special and loved it all! Gazpacho was best I’ve had. Salmon was perfectly cooked and flavored, and cream brle was perfect. Our waiter (Jordan) was attentive and pleasant. Had a Manhattan with great flavor, though a bit light on the bourbon! Will go again on a special occasion.
A dinner I would never forget. I came here for dinner with my boyfriend of 4 years. The raw oysters were nice. My scallops were cooked perfectly. The carrot cake bread pudding was fantastic. But what makes this an unforgettable dinner was that my boyfriend proposed. The entire wait staff, chefs, etc. were all in on it too. It was the best night ever.
The best soft shell crab and short ribs ever. My husband and I went here on our anniversary. We did a 5 course dinner/ tasting. It was the best food I’ve ever had. All other meals are compared to this. We have been twice, and both times got a 100%. The best soft shell crab and short ribs I’ve ever had.
The bartender was clueless and when asked his option about their cocktails had a deer in the headlights look. Dinner service was much better and more personable
RUDE!. I had a meal during the Christmas holidays at Lemaire. Though the wait staff was pleasant and the found was good the hotel staff were not. My credit card was charged for my own meal and someone else’s meal that cost over 100 dollars. When I called to get the charge taken off they were EXTREMELY rude, and put continually put me into their voicemail. They hung up on me several times, I will never do business at the Jefferson again.
Unfortunately this was one of the worst meals that I have experienced in quite awhile. The food came to the table cold and undercooked, as well as under seasoned. The presentation was sloppy. The waitstaff was less then impressive. This restaurant has the potential to be something special given it’s venue but it has a long way to go.
Elegant. Five of us had dinner at Lemaire. The service was excellent – professional and helpful. Starters were all good – the bisque looked very good. I had a great pear salad. Five of us took only two different mains, and I can commend the crab cakes as tasty, moist, and well done. If I lived in Richmond, my wife and I would have dinner here. Probably some special occasion.
