We come here fairly regularly, especially when it’s nice out on the patio. However, the other night I stopped in at about 930pm to get some food and drinks with two friends. We ordered pitchers, the waitress said it would be cheaper than us all getting our own pints. I ordered the Cajun shrimp appetizer which claims to have a quarter pound of shrimp. This was laughable, there were 5 unseasoned baby shrimp on top of about a half cup of cold grits. Ew. Pitchers of beer are $20 each! Yikes. Between the 3 of us we spent 90 dollars on a very average meal. Stick to the wings.
Pretty horrible. The staff couldn’t list their specials, or really any knowledge of the food being served. When I asked what they have on tap the server went across the dining area to the bar, read what was on the taps and yelled them back across the restaurant. Food was cold and limp in flavor and actual preparation. The atmosphere gives off the vibe that this is where all the local alcoholics and depraved come to hang out.
Unimpressed is an understatement!. My best advice, DON’T GO! Terrible food and even worse service!
This place has slid downhill so fast all you can see the skid! marks on the street outside. Always a mediocre food stop but the atmosphere is cool. Recently revamped menus to include $9 hamburgers with chips – $9 HAMBURGER WITH CHIPS! fries. Will add another $1.50. I ordered the fries instead- add $1.50- and asked that they put some Old Bay seasonings on it. They then charged me an extra 25 for seasoning! Felt like I was back in NY getting it up the wazoo when dining out. Seasoning? Really? The fact is, I was glad to play for it after all, the food tasted like it might have some of Minnie’s pie ingredients in it. Skip it
Horrible experience to just have a beer. We came in on cinco de mayo to just have a beer. There seemed to be only one waitress and the bar tender did nothing to help out. No one even spoke to us even though we were right across from the bar. Finally I had to flag waitress down to order two beers and she never acknowledged us again. Never offered us a menu or anything. There also seemed to be a manager hanging around but he did nothing to chip in and help take care of the waiting tables. I will not be going back.
I came here since I had a Groupon. We were able to sit outside which was nice except some people that were justing up near the door having drinks had their dogs that were shedding everywhere, including when we finally got our food. We asked the waitress if we could move and she told us know. After I asked that question, she would never refill our drinks. Such bad service otherwise. Will never go back
Caliente …. I thought I’d stick to something basic since it was first time (and last time) I had been here. I got the buffalo wings which were covered in chewy, soggy fat and served in a soup dish with tons of sauce at the bottom making them soggier. Three of my friends also said they were by far, the worst wings they’d ever had…fatty, greasy, chewy and soggy. The fries weren’t bad – in fact they were great. Everyone else got burgers which were literally charred black! Who would serve that?? Horrible food but a fun outdoor patio environment is available. Maybe stick to the fries and a beer.
