Wonderful location and pretty good food. Great on a nice day if you can sit outside or near the windows. Definitely go on a weekend when you can people watch. For breakfast, they have fantastic fragels and croissants. But, they usually dont have them ready until 8am. If you go at 7 when they open, youll have a limited selection. Had the duck which was absolutely wonderful. The apple and vanilla glaze with rice, nuts and baby bok choy all compliment each other beautifully. My friend had the beef and thought it was delicious with the garlic potatoes.
Always a great place for lunch or dinner, and suits any occasion – casual or formal.Decided to spend a day walking around in Carytown and popped in for a quick lunch – good crowd as usual. If you can, try to reserve a table on front by the windows. On a nice day they can open the entire front of the restaurant – it’s cool.Wife and I had a few drinks for a casual lunch. She ordered a peach belinni which was very refreshing – I had a 1776. For lunch we each had a tasting (small cup) of french onion and split a burger and fries. The burgers are huge and the double up the fries so it’s an easy choice!I’m a friend connoisseur – and when I say they have some of the best fries in RVA – TRUST ME ON THAT!PS. If you’ve ever been to Balthazar in Soho – it’s an exact replica down to the menu – only difference is you are not packed in like a sardine!
Absolutely fabulous! Best steak I’ve ever had! Service was ideal! And the creme brulee was certainly on point! So glad we moved close to this place!
I miss Can Can so much. This was the place for birthday brunches, solo breakfasts, and work meetings. The atmosphere is so elegant and sophisticated, and their menu is great! If you didn’t know this, they also offer $1 coffee starting at 7 am in the early mornings for people who work in Carytown! Great way to start the morning and take advantage of the extra hour or two before work with a nice book or early-bird date with a friend.
Pretty good lunch. Went here instead of Mellow mushroom to try something different. The atmosphere is nice worth the old world/France theme. The serve was alright, nothing to special. I ordered the Egg’s Benedict and it arrived in decent time. The meal was very good and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Would recommend for something different.
Great lunch experience. Went for lunch today with a friend. We shared crab fritters as an app. She had the Salad Nicoise and a glass of wine, I had the lobster crepes and an IPA. Everything, including the service, was excellent.
Great atmosphere, the food was excellent, probably not your place if you eat at McDonald
