It took an hour to make three sandwiches…. meanwhile the waitress never visited the table to offer refills, or give an update on the order. Now this would’ve been understandable if they were busy or if it was lunch rush but we arrived at 2:00, food arrived at 3:30…. never again!!
All of the hype is true. You will wail. It is cramped. The sandwiches are huge and delicious. Probably had the best Italian I ever had there. The bread was crusty and soft, it made the sandwich.
Where friends meet.. I have been coming to Chioccas for years and they are always consistent. By far the best sandwiches you will ever find. Anywhere! It may not be the place to go if you are in a hurry. You will most likely have to wait for that delicious sandwich. But, have no fear; there are plenty of TVs and pitchers of beer to keep you occupied in the meantime.
Best Sandwich in Town!. I have been going here for almost ten years now and every trip is the best. Their sandwiches are by far the best deli sandwich in Richmond! Great place to enjoy a few or several beers while waiting on your sandwich. If you go with a big group or it is crowded, then there will be a lengthy wait but it is worth it!!! Favorites include: Made In Turkey Club, Son of Beast, Italian, and the Sailor! Cheap beer too! I Absolutely Love this place!

Best grilled sandwiches in town. This is the real deal. It’s small, and sometimes hard to get a table but worth it. Great grilled sandwiches, cold beer and often great music. Enjoy
The best of the best. If you want cheesy music and the latest in gastropub fare, then skip Chioccas. If you want a modern bathroom, then skip. If you are looking for a better guy/girl ratio than 1:3, then skip. But if you don’t mind waiting a little bit for your food, and if you want the coldest beer, best friends, and most incredible sandwiches that you have ever had, then go to Chioccas.PS: The Dagwood is the most serious sandwich you have ever seen.
