Wonderful. I’ve eaten Indian Food on 3 continents…..this little place is as authentic as you can get! Great Food, Quiet Atmosphere, Nice Prices and Good Portions! You simply must try it! ….We love spicy and get the Chicken Vindaloo, however their Butter Chicken is quite nice too and very mild….the Garlic Na’an is ah’mazing too!
I have to admit I haven’t eaten much Indian food in my life but I went with some family today and we all really liked it. We had fast service, quiet dining (it was after 9 on a Tuesday so it was practically empty) and great food.
A very satisfactory taste of indian cuisine.. Looking for a new dining experience? Farouks may be for you! Being an avid indo pak fan, I had to try this location like many others. I was pleasantly surprised. I did not order off the menu, rather I got the buffet. Normally buffets are only so so, so I was not expecting too much. But it was actually really good. They actually have a lot of vegetarian options; something I have been trying to get into. Unlike some of the other indian locations out here, I actually felt like they wanted my business. Other locations stare me right out the door ( I wish I were kidding). It was also actually very clean looking, again something I can’t say about the other locations. If you want a good indian dining experience, I would recommend either here or Kabab Grille. The others just don’t compare.
I love this place. Stopped in here on a whim, and was pleasantly surprised. The service was warm and friendly. The food was excellent-I had the chicken curry. It was a quiet little place with nice spicy food for a chilly evening. I recommend it.
Curry-licious. Went to Farouk’s for a lunch buffet and was pleasantly pleased. I got to serve myself so I chose the portions i wanted and what i didn’t want. Everything tasted good, the nan bread was still warm even for a buffet where quality usually suffers underneath quantity. Very spicy and true to authentic Indian comfort food. The staff was cool and didn’t seem to mind we kept getting back up for seconds.
Hot and Spicy Indian food with Reasonable Prices!. Back in the 90’s when our family lived in Richmond, we used to frequent Farouk’s in Carytown. I cannot say enough awesome things about it. You want heat you say? Try the Beef or Lamb Rogangosh. The Mulligatawny soup is amazing. The heat is hot, the food is very spicy and the atmosphere is Indian, all Indian. I very much recommend this place in the Fan!
Hairy Eyeballs. I like the cuisine in this sparsely decorated restaurant that’s been in Cary Town since 1675, but the hairy eyeballs of the scary dude glaring at us throughout our entire meal was unsettling. Very typical baba ghanouj and lamb curry. Spicier than most places.
