Nice addition to the neighborhood. I visited Jack Brown’s last night and I really enjoyed it. The place was filling up when I arrived at 6ish on a Monday night. And their stools aren’t the most comfy in the world. But the waitstaff was friendly and attentive, the beer list was impressive, and the burgers were about 1/4 pounders. At first, they looked really tiny, but then I realized that it’s because most places seem to serve 1/2 pound burgers that cost $10-$15. I really liked getting a reasonable sized burger at a reasonable price ($6-$9). The fries were really good too. I split an order with my companion and it was just the right amount.
Let’s see, I love beer and burgers. Had to run by and check out this place and see what the buzz was. Unfortunately I’m one and done. Beer:Ok so you have a ton of beers. but if I want craft beer I’ll go to Mekong, Capital Ale, Rockbottom or BJs. Burgers:What we have here is a $3.00 Tasty Freeze / Dairy Queen burger being passed off as a $8.00 burger. ( my opinion ) Burgers were small very limited on add ons. Everyone at our table agreed. Sorry Jack Brown, just not digging the burgers but good luck. Richmond just has too many better options available. Burgerworks , Burger Bach and Carytown.
