Def not the type of European bakery I’m used too. I should’ve known this place wouldn’t be great by the girl that worked there had holes all over her shirt….but I purchase what I normally get from other bakeries like this one… This was by far not good at all. Nothing of it tasted fresh. And they over priced their foods! I do not recommend this place to no one. I will continue to go to Stellas bakery in Rockville, Md. Where their slices are reasonable and a while more fresh. The pic below where I tried a piece of each and didn’t like it…10 dollars wasted!

Baked goods must be at least a MONTH OLD. This is the second time in the last few months that I have tried cookies from this bakery. They were awful, horrible, disgusting! They must have been in the display case for at least a week..if not much longer! I will NEVER go there again!!!!!!!!

Not the best I’ve ever had…. Review:We were out and about in Carytown around 3p on Saturday afternoon. We were rather hungry and had a ways to go until dinner so we were on our way to Smoothie King. As we walked past Jean Jacques Bakery, I remembered seeing a Groupon for them so we decided to buy the Groupon and give it try. When we went into the bakery, it was packed. We thought that was a great sign. We looked at the menu and waited in line for about 15 minutes to order a chicken salad sandwich and some desserts.Food:All the food looked amazing in the display case. We first ordered the chicken salad sandwich. It was huge for the price which was nice. It wasn’t the best chicken salad I’ve ever had, nor was it the worst. It was rather mediocre. We got it on a baguette instead of a croissant and I was happy with the bread choice. For dessert, I got a chocolate chip chunk cookie with (I believe the employee at the counter said) 5 different types of chocolate. In the display case, the cookie looked incredible. When I tasted it, it was not very good. It tasted like it had been sitting out for a week. It was very dry. I took the rest of it home to hope it would get better after I microwaved it, but no. Nothing could help this cookie. It was not good. For Brad’s dessert, he got a mocha creme cake. It was ok. It lacked flavor.Employees:I believe we were helped by the owner. She was very nice, offered great service and checked in on us. She did seem a bit overwhelmed.Final Say:I don’t think I’ll go back.

The food was good i would return but i am cracking up laughing at these reviews! Lol. I was a little disturbed by the obvious obsession the couple have for each other. Pics of them everywhere.

Bad service. Was my first time. And will be the last. It seem like some people working there from Europe. Work without having the visa. How can you hire people without permit to work in us The food was terrible. And the owner wife is very rude. This is not a way to run a business. May be she should be ship back home will not going back there

Old and dried out everything. Ordered several items. Baguette was dry and burnt on outside. Croissant was dry and tough. Cheese danish crumbled and not moist. Latte seemed to have been made with water instead of milk. And all extremely overpriced. That was my first and last time at Jean Jacques.

Mean, gay slurs, inedible food. – The owner’s wife repeated ten times that the inedible pastry was baked that morning. Refused to even look at it as I crumbled it in my hand to show how old and stale it was. She followed me outside and entered into a slew of anti gay slurs that cant be posted here.Even asked me if I had a c word. WTF??? She was even getting mad at her husband for trying to quiet her. It was like a Seinfield episode but it all would have been bleeped out. This woman is a psycho bigot. They had threatened to call the police because I supposedly hit her with the bag and it was on the security camera. After encouraging them to do so several times, they didn’t call the police of course because they made it all up., So I called the police on the crazed bitch. Not much they could do but at least the customers saw it.
