Asian salad was phenomenal!
Not worth a return trip…. CPK makes some of the worst pizza you’ll ever eat. That said, the service at this location is worse than the pizza. The waitstaff is inattentive, and if you are lucky enough to flag one of them down, they are often rude, and they clearly just want to get back to socializing with the other staff. It might be that the waitstaff is so bad because the manager needs to crack the whip. Regardless, I have no intention of ever returning to a CPK in the future, and I would not recommend CPK. There are many places to eat in the Crystal City / Pentagon City area, and the food at CPK is not worth the frustration of trying to get it from the waitstaff.
Whole Wheat Crust. Good service, good food. I love the original chopped salad. My favorite pizza is the pear gorgonzola (Caramelized pears, Gorgonzola, Fontina and Mozzarella cheeses, caramelized sweet onions and chopped hazelnuts. Topped with field greens tossed in Gorgonzola ranch dressing)- left the menu for awhile… so happy it’s back! (Maybe it’s seasonal?) The Garlic Cream Fettuccine is also delicious.If I had read the menu more thoroughly, I would have realised that I could have gotten whole wheat crust – next time I guess!
Excellent Visit – Will Return – Brenda Rocks. I visited CPK on Thursday, June 23, 2011 on the advice of a friend. I arrived at 7:15pm and was seated immediately even thought the house was nearly packed full. I informed my server, Brenda, that I would be ordering slowly since my friend would not arrive until 8pm. Brenda was very understanding, helpful, and allowed me to order my drink, appetizer, and pizza with time in between so that my pizza and my friend arrived at the same time. Several servers besides Brenda stopped by to offer help, and my drink was always being refilled.The food, the service, and the entire experience was top-notch and I will be back when I visit DC again. Hopefully Brenda will be working too!!
Need new managers!. Managers are sooooooooooo rude!!!! usually it’s the waitress/waiter that gives you bad service, but this time was the managers! and this is the one in pentagon city mall!!! where alot of tourist go! i dont recommend this place!
TERRIBLE SERVICE!. We went to the Pentagon City, VA restaurant on 7/4/2010. Service was horrible!!! After we were seated, we waited 10 minutes for a waitress and that was only after we asked for one. There was a group of employees in a corner eating and socializing as we were waiting to be served. The food seemed OK, however, three of us in a party of six ended up with stomach aches. Not the best thing to happen when you are sight seeing in DC! I wrote to corporate headquarters/customer service and was told the manager at the Pentagon restaurant would contact us. When he did not contact us within the week, I wrote again. I then received an apology email from Carlos at Pentagon and he said he would send us a coupon. After two weeks, we finally received a coupon for one free entree. We spent over a hundred dollars and they sent us one free entree coupon!? I will not go the Pentagon California Pizza Kitchen again and I will think twice before I go to any of their restaurants. Lisa, Springfield, VA
