AFTER MARATHON MEAL. We were in town for the USMC Marathon and wanted hearty, healthy food. We ordered the vegetarian sample for 4 and had plenty of food; enough leftovers to carry home. The service was slow and not very attentive, but when we asked, we got everything we needed.. more beer, more water, more bread.

Having eaten here for dinner twice, the most recent meal this week was disappointing. Scan’t portions of lentils arrived with entrees. Two pieces of injera for 3 diners.Collards were from a can. We have been eating ethiopian food for 25 years. This dinner and service were disappointing. Price for Tej style american made honey wine is outrageous. It should be about half the price.

About as well as I like any Ethiopian food. I admit, this is not my favorite genre of food. Love the lamb and lentils and other staples, but I always end up wishing that the sour sponge bread be replaced with almost any other kind of carb. That said, we had a fine dinner here last week. $25 for the combo platter that left us both full but not overly so. Can’t beat that price. Iced tea is unsweetened chai and VERY refreshing and good compliment to the food. Atmosphere pretty plain; staff are casual and friendly.
