T&H. A good place to drink, fair prices. Food is below average. Burgers and waffle fries are good, but wings are overcooked. Chicken nachos are too dry. There are no big TV screens so you need to sit at the bar to have a good view.

Hop in, Crawl out. The suited crowd fills this place during Happy Hours, and for good reason. The bartenders are very attentive and provide great, friendly service. The food is better than your average bar food. I had an excellent fillet at the bar which definitely left a good impression. A big draw is that there is live music almost every day of the week, with local bands (complete with their own groupies) turning the place into a lively rock club after about 9-10pm. There’s no cover, so people wander in and out off the street which sometimes makes for an eclectic crowd. If you’re looking for quiet conversation, this isn’t the place to go. If you want cold beer served fast and a beat to bang your head to, then hop on in.
Is this a bar or a meat market?. Early in the evening Tortoise & Hare is a pleasant restaurant where locals can go to enjoy live music and good food, however, after about 10pm when the band starts cranking, it turns into a meat market – and not in a good way. My first experience with T&H was for dinner, and the food exceeded my expectations. The band was just setting up as I was paying my tab, and the few minutes that I heard, I enjoyed. Last night, on the other hand, I experienced a completely different bar. Drunk, loud, and smoky is the only way I can describe the evening. I watched highly intoxicated, and mostly unattractive men repeatedly hit on every woman at the bar.I like T&H for dinner, but not after-hours when drunk, sweaty men try to pull me onto the dance floor.
