Best BBQ at the beach. We always eat there whenever we visit Va. Beach. Good food, good staff. Great place for families. Great prices. Easy to find, pleasant atmosphere.
Staff was courteous and knowledgeable about menu items. Seated immediately. Waitress greeted us immediately and checked on us throughout the evening. Food was delivered quickly and served hot. Amazing chicken bbq and sweet wings. Can’t wait to go back
Jake’s is a terrific place for a lunch date. My husband rates their wings near the top of his list locally, and the BBQ is great Southern comfort food. Kevin is running a super establishment, and I think folks should definitely give it a try.
We love Jake’s the food is always good and the staff friendly. Plus their rewards program is easy and you get rewards fast! Try the hush puppies and the pulled pork!
Jakes is hit or miss. Today for example we went for lunch. My pulled pork had more broth in the dish then my green beans did. Speaking of the green beans, they tasted solely like pepper. My 2ife had the bbq chicken which she always gets, yes we know there is a pink smoke ring, but as she pulled the chicken apart it started to get more and more red, slimy and chewy. We pointed it out to the waitress who apologized and offered a new piece, but by that time the appetite was gone. She brought the check but it still had the chicken on it, but when I said something while paying they quickly took it off. With all that said, Jakes is normally very good, there are times its not perfect though and as a customer I expect perfect each time.
Plenty for All. Since there were 6 people in my party, we ordered the Family Meal which allowed each person so sample a little of either the BBQ Ribs, BBQ, Brisket, BBQ Chicken and BBQ Pulled Pork plus plenty od sides, Cole Slaw, BBQ Baked Beans, Texas Toast and French Fries. Everybody was completely satisfied and we still had to bring food home.
Great BBQ!. If you are wanting great BBQ at a great price, then Jake’s is the place for you. The food is amazing, the staff is very nice, the establishment is very clean and you can’t beat the price
