Food is always great, CS is always horrible!. Family and friends come to visit from NY once in a while. And of course they are looking for a good Italian bakery. I havent been here in months due to the CS but my sister was in town and wanted real rainbow cookies. Well as usual the girl behind the counter was extremely condescending and rude. Like we were not ordering the cookies the correct way. And how conveniently it went from a few minutes to 10 minutes to bag some rainbow cookies for us out of the freezer because she hasnt done her job yet for the day. Her nasty attitude was so bad that my sister cut her order short. Thankfully I had warned her before we walked in that it may get ugly. And like clockwork it did. I am done with this place all together we have been in probably 6 or 7 times, everytime but once was a disaster. Such a shame because the food is always on point but its not worth leaving annoyed over.
Tables For One Unwelcome. Saw this place on Diners, Drive-ins, Dives. Baked goods looked great. Sat at table for 15 mins unacknowledged while patrons at counter and tables with groups were served drinks and placed orders. All tables who came in 30-40 mins after me had drinks. I still had none. Avoid this place if you are alone!!
Most delicious authentic Italian food. My husband and I met some friends at Rigoletto’s last night for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, nothing else like it in town! We had the gnocci, stuffed meatballs with spaghetti and the special fried flounder. Everything was great! Service was great! I read mixed reviews about the food and service but tried anyway and so glad we did! If you want delicious, homemade authentic Italian sauce, this is the place to go. We also got lots of desserts to go. The cookies were very fresh and tasty, and the cannolis were out of this world! We just don’t have enough good things to say, and we will definitely make it a regular place to eat. We enjoyed the live music and fun atmosphere! Great job Gilda!!!!! Don’t change a thing!
Late Sunday Lunch. Arrived around 2PM on a Sunday for our first visit. Seated right away, provided with menus, and drink orders were taken an promptly. I’m a native New Yorker and expect lots from Italian delis, restaurants, and bakeries. Riggoletto’s did not disappoint!!!Paninis were our mood–I got the Shaved beef special seen on Triple D and my wife got the prosciutto and eggplant, both of which were delivered in about 5-7 minutes. The shaved beef was exceptional–one of the finest steak sandwiches I ever had…warm, flavorful, and satisfying. My wife would have preferred her’s a tad warmer but very tasty otherwise. Focaccia bread is AMAZING. Portion sizes are huge–two people could easily split one. Saved enough room for dessert, so I had the cream-filled lobster roll and my wife behaved with a cannoli. I’m going to have to swear off desserts for a month–that lobster roll had enough calories to nourish a third world country…my wife is already dreading my impending sugar high…Wife: my cannoli was a miniature chocolate covered one that was just perfect for a little something sweet after the meal. We will certainly return often and not hesitate to bring guests. My mouth is happy and my tummy is very happy…now to waddle to the truck!
DISAPPOINTED. Desided to have dinner last week to see how it was after the expansion. Service was terrible, took 10 min for someone to come to our table, took another 20 min to get food, was not warm, asked server if meal still came with bread she said yes but never brought us any, never refreshed our drinks. When owner(mother) asked how it was I told her not good, and explained what was wrong, her answer was we’re working on it and didn’t say sorry or anything, it was like she really didn’t want to hear it.Need to hire more staff , will not be coming back anytime soon, we did come on a regular basis.
AWESOME!!. Just had the most amazing lunch here….AWESOME! Support your local peeps…..well worth it! Food was excellent, service was outstanding and the desserts are TO DIE FOR…can’t wait to go back and try the next dish!! I had the the Florentina panini which was devine. Great prices…Whether you’re visiting or live here and looking for a new place, you have to try Rigoletto.
Meal – Saturday 3/2/13. Meal was ok, but service was terrible. Table of 3. Seated, given menus and drinks. Got one appetizer. Ordered meal, Ravoli for one, sandwich for 2nd and spaghetti with Meatballs for last. Two received meals (ravioli and sandwich) and other meal didn’t come till waitress was questioned about status (10-15 minutes had passed with other meals already delivered). Wanted to get dessert – but waitress didn’t return to table to even offer. Had to ask different waitress about check and was not offered anything there either. When drinks were low had to ask for refills. I will not go there again and if asked about the restaurant, would not recommend it.
