Terrible Sushi. I’ve been trying new sushi places every week and Sapporo East was next on my list. I live pretty close by to this restaurant, but never really wanted to try it as it didn’t look very appealing from the outside. Nevertheless, I gave it a shot with my husband. We went for lunch that day, and we both ordered the lunch bento with spicy salmon roll and spicy tuna rolls. Our soup came out first and it was good, then came our salad which was saturated with so much dressing, it was soupy. I later found out that the waitress puts way too much dressing, as a customer at another table told her to please go light on the salad dressing. Our sushi arrived on regular round dinner plates with fried rice, was not expecting that. Ok, so not actual japanese style bento box, no problem, but the sushi rolls were so small and the tuna itself had a very odd flavor that we couldn’t pinpoint. It didn’t taste fresh at all. We ordered another specialty roll and that too was just lackluster for the price. Don’t waste your money, there are better sushi places in the area.
