I’ve been there twice with my husband and both times they had to go back to the kitchen to ask if they had what we wanted to order. The first time I ordered posole which was all right but I needed a lot of lime to give it any flavor. My husband got the El Rey burrito, it came smothered in standard bright yellow nacho dipping sauce. I think they were going for a burrito ahogado but failed miserably. The staff was relatively nice but they were on their cell phones the whole time. Second time we went was yesterday. Husband got a huge torta and I got two tacos. Again, husband took a couple of bites and had to put it down, it had no flavor. I don’t get how you can make a torta not taste like anything, as for my tacos, same. They bring out two salsas but they both taste so weird. I think the green one has a cucumber base. We decided never to come here again, both times we were disappointed. Maybe we’ve just been spoiled coming from southern California, maybe it’s just bad food.

I’m from Cali where great Mexican food is everywhere. It’s been hard to find authentic Mexican food but once I ate here, this is where I go when I’m craving delicious Mexican food. I’m addicted to their posole, it’s amazing!!

This place is fantastic. Best Mexican food in the area. Authentic that is. Go for the tacos. The lengua(tongue) is incredible. Finish it with a Mexican coke.
