My first time there i tried the curry shrimp, it was ok being that im used to a lit of seasoning on my shrimp. My dad gets their food all the time and i always find myself tasting a little of what he has. Their food is always good. The little lady at the desk was nice while i want ordering.
I love the oxtails!!!The restaurant is very clean and the food is really great!!! Once u get to be a regular the lady behind the counter is really nice.
Screw the fat black woman behind the counter. The lady who runs the place is such a bitch. the food was good but just because of her I would not give them my money. its not worth it despite what people say. if you want people to return then maybe you could put on a fake smile for the 2 minutes they are interacting with you getting food
Don’t let the decor or location fool you! The folks behind the counter are wonderful and the food is excellent in quality and the portions are worth the price.
Chicke Curry is excellent. Not sure why this restaurant has two $$ signs (moderately priced) I think one is more appropriate. It is very inexpensive.Like almost everyone else said, excellent food served by a sort or world-weary, rode-hard-and-put-up-wet attitude. The fact she hasn’t driven everyone off proves the food is good.(Don’t miss the judgmental, condescending signs all over the rest room walls. Hysterical. )
Excellent. I started going to Higher Heights about 3 months ago. Like some noticed, the woman at the counter seemed cold at first. Once I came back a few times she has opened up and acts like I am her best friend when I come in. SO she is not a stand-off perhaps a little shy to folks she does not know. I have only eaten the lunch specials ($6.12 after tax with no drink) which are curry chicken, stew chicken, and jerk chicken. All are excellent! Really tasty. The cabbage and plantains are good sides. I will go back for lunch once a week as long as I am able!
