Not a fan. This is the first mexican restaurant I have been to that I didn’t like. The food is just not as good as Plaza Del Sol or Mi Hogar (my top picks). The salsa and white sauce that comes to the table is so hot that you cannot enjoy it.. HOT is not a flavor. Very disappointing

Good.. NOTE: This is owned by the same group that owns El Azteca on Little Creek Rd.Same quality as its sister location on Little Creek.

Dinner #7 or #13….. The chile rellenos are excellent. Service is great, although some employees have difficulty speaking English., but others rushed to help.Highly recommended.

Top notch in cleanliness, service and excellent food! Entrees were hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. I have not found a bad item on the menu. An added plus is the COLD beer served with frosted mugs.

Went for lunch with a group twice. Staff has speedy service down to a science. Had #6 with beans which was tasty. Everyone at my table enjoyed their various choices also. Great for what it is, cheap quick Mexican

Some of the best chile verde I have ever had! Close to base, good prices and ESPN deportes on tv! I love it!

Generic Mexican Food. This was a right down the middle generic Mexican food. Oro Azteca is a pretty new establishment located on Hampton Blvd in an old Pizza Hut. The building has been nicely renovated and has a very spacious and clean dining area. The menu here is no different than any other Mexican place of this level around town. The #4 dinner combo for example is same #4 dinner combo I consume at a variety of Mexican restaurants I visit.I find the food here is prepared well, but it really lacks any zest in it’s taste. There’s no kick at all and actually was kinda bland at times. Definitely better than say hospital food. Where the food lacks in taste they make up for in portion. My portions were huge by any Mexican restaurant standard.I’m not sure if I’ll go back as nothing here really stood out. I guess I would tag along with friends, like I did tonight, but other than that probably not.
