Noticed there hadn’t been a review in a few years so I thought I would give it a try. Friendly people, interesting cross table conversations, and good food. IMHO it’s a little over priced, but it works and I’ll be back.
Hidden Gem of Willoughby. My wife and I stumbled upon the Sunset Grill when in search of good local bars and restaurants. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the view, the music, the friendliness, and the food. We are new to the area and the waitress as well as the cook/manager made us feel welcome. The view is fantastic as we were there at sunset. In terms of food, we enjoyed both the fish and the shrimp tacos. They had a simple, delicious taste that focused on the fish and shrimp. Portions were large and coincided with price. The band was great! We would definitely return and bring our friends. Great parking and easy to find. The restaurant and marina are convenient to Oceanview and 64. Highly recommend.
Live Music and Fresh Seafood. What a great find this restaurant is. Stopped by on a Thursday night and they had live music and it was really above average. We sat on the deck and enjoyed Robbie House playing guitar while we eat fresh seafood. Too bad I live in Virginia Beach or I’d be a regular.
Awesome.. Went to an engagement party there last night. It’s not fancy but the food was excellent and the sunset view from the deck amazing. Reminded me of the funky little places all along the Florida Keys. Owner Kathy was super, super nice and made you feel right at home. The ladies in the kitchen and behind the bar worked their butts off. You can tell this is a labor of love for them. Our Wednesday Night Supper Club group of 20 will go back. Heck we may even become regulars.
Sunset Grill. House Salad with the homemade chunky blue-cheese dressing, blackened tuna bites the bomb, buffalo shrimp were all to die for. Sheri was my server and Brittany I believe was her name in the kitchen. Drinks were strong. I did notice the decking out back but u can tell its just a temp cover from the cold wind and i would.nt be suprised if its gone come the warmer weather. Jeez just writing this review makes me want more of those blackened tuna bites, more more more… Payday, payday just around the corner…
Wonderful service beautiful view the burger and rest of the food was excellent. I recommend everyone check it out when they drive by
No More Sunsets @ Sunset Grill. Went to have an evening cocktail last night, one of the last warm fall evenings we’re sure. Unfortunately the place was closed. Mondays, not unusual for restaurant closings, but there’s no sign, no posted hours, nothing. Then we notice the new wall around the deck. I guess they’re trying to block the wind, but the new WALL around the deck totally blocks the view of the marina from inside. Bad enough we always had to pass the crowd of smokers sitting outside the front door. Now there is no view to speak of. We hope it’s only for the winter. Went back this eve and confirmed the lack of view from inside. What a shame.
