Very Good. I just want to say that this is the first time I have ever eaten at the Hampton location Plaza Azteca. It will not be the last!! The service we received from Sandra on 3/29/2015 at noon was excellent! She was great with my kids and overall made sure we were WELL taken care of. The food was delicious and I love the new menu items. Thanks for making my visit a good one!!
This is just another typical restaurant in the hampton road area, I don’t really understand why the service and food quality is so under par. The food was ok for a frozen quality taste. Service was very bad. We ordered the 4.50 cheese dip and got a half full bowl of chips. The bowl was about the size of a cereal bowl. The waiter brought the chips and drinks and we never saw him again for at least 30 mins. The four people ate the small amount of chips in about 1 min. Would of been nice to get a few more chips. We got our food at about the 40 min point and then we paid for our food and asked for a box. Waited about 15 min and left without ever getting a box. Overall just your standard hampton road type of chain restaurant.
Worst Italian Food ever…. but, the service was ‘On the Minute’.. It had been a long time since I ate here. And, now I remember why. Went to feed a flock of 4 (2-Adults & 2-Rent a Kids), Ordered Rachito Especiale dish y Chili Rellenos de queso, Chk-Enchilada dish, Hamburger w/ FF & Chick-Tender w/ FF: The finicky kids wolfed the burger and Chick-Tenders were good…As for the rest of the main dishes: The rice was cooked even& tasted like tomato sauce, beans are obviously from can, Carne Asada & Chick was ok for Italian food. The epitome of the evening food was the chili rellenos de queso (which always set the tone for any Mexican restaurant). The Poblano peppers were rubbered, bitter and bad. We actually played a dare game to finish off the meal. I lost and walked out $65 lighter. $10 was for the service, whom were on point.
So so. When the hostess is rude, it sets the tone. Not happy with her attitude and that made for a bad dinner. Dinner was nothing special. Average at best.
I have been here twice with my guy and both times I got the same thing and both times they messed it up. The waitress is always confused when I order. I wanted to substitute shrimp for more mushrooms and the waitress says she doesn’t think they can do that…who says that! Mushrooms over shrimp! Smh anyway so far the worse Plaza Azteca i’ve been to so far.
Not the Best. I’ve frequented many of the Mexican restaurants in the Hampton Roads areas and wasn’t very pleased with this particular one. The service was good, as well as the chips and salsa. For my main entree I ordered the Burritos Fajita, one with chicken and one with steak. I expected them to have peppers and onions in them but the amount of onions in both was beyond overwhelming. Without exaggeration there was easily 3 times the amount of onions as there was meat. I’m not sure why the dish was served this way as I didn’t specify that I wanted extra onions and I obviously didn’t order off of the vegetarian menu. Wasn’t satisfied with the food. Too many good Mexican restaurants in the area to come back to this particular one.
6/27.2012 Review. The food was fast. The food was good Tex-Mex. Price to amount ratio was good. The Guacamole was good. We would go again. Read other negative reviews as well as the positive, but our experiance was good enough for a return trip. Servers were nice. Clean and easy to find resturaunt. This
