Longstreet’s is one of three restaurants in the downtown area of Petersburg. The food is good, and I recommend staying with the traditional staples of deli and burger items. There food quality could improve by buying locally or diversifying. Too much is cook with CYSCO products.
Awesome deli, kind and quick service and the panini’s are excellent. Highly recommend the surf and turf panini with waffle fries.
Meh.. Service and food is so-so. Decent booze selection. Cool atmosphere.
Great Food & Service. I’m new to the area and was looking for a great local place to eat. Several people from the area recommended Longstreet’s to me and I was looking forward to trying it. My first visit and several subsequent visits II tried a simple French Dip Sandwich with the signature Fripps and it was delicious. Served super hot and fast. I finally decided to try a burger on one of my visits and it was delicious. Cooked perfectly (medium well) and the soup was incredible. You could definitely tell it was made at Longstreet’s and not brought in from a can or box…I definitely recommend their soup. This last visit I stopped in for dinner on a Friday night. It was super busy but the service was great. I thought I’d have a long wait for food but the server was very attentive and she was very friendly. This is definitely a favorite place of mine and I would recommend it to anyone.
Good Grease Fix. Perfect for those days I crave a BBQ Bacon Burger with some loaded waffle fries! The BBQ sauce is sweet and the waffle fries are spot on. It’s good food as far as bars go and the drinks aren’t half bad. Also had the wings for appetizers and was surprised to find it very tasty! The wings come out lightly breaded and crisp. No soggy Pizza Hut wings here. The service can get slow when the place is packed but I went at 3pm on Friday (before the dinner rush) and our waitress was nice and attentive.
So much potential, it’s a shame.. They get allot of people. Not becaus of the flavor, service or decor, but by default. Unfortunately in Petersburg you don’t have allot of choices, so unless you wanna drive more then 10 min you have to settle. They hide shredded sub lettuce under larger leafs in salads. So they look good on first inspections, but as soon as you get into it it’s all shredded iceberg. The crab dip is the best thing on the menu, unfortunately they serve it with regular slices of white toast cut into quarters. Please consider putting more thought and quality into your food.
