Fanatastic. Have tried several dishes now and can say all the flavors have been fantastic. Fresh, distinctive flavors worth the often long wait. Fish tacos, chicken and waffles and carnitas tostada all were great. Cod and potatoe coquettes were very good. Can’t wait to go back and try more. A big five stars !
Food is Decent, Service is Flakey. I have eaten here many times and continue to do so. Their pizza is good and their apps are decent. Good beer selection too. However, I’ve found recently this restaurant is staffed poorly and is in need of obvious cleaning and upkeep – particularly in the bathrooms. I would not at all be shocked to learn that some of the servers are using drugs on the job, they certainly act the part.
Wow I loved it we started with the bacon corn pepper and onion hush puppies then my wife got the best dish of the night bangers and grits. The staff were very attentive the manager stopped by twice. A Staunton area must.
Great veggie pizza, good local beer selection, great service and atmosphere
Decent but can have some issues at times. I’ve eaten here four or five times and the food is pretty good depending on who is in the kitchen. Last night I had the bacon wrapped dates and shrimp and grits. When the dates arrived, they were amazing looking but they were lukewarm heading towards cool when they arrived…which was a disappointment. Then the shrimp and grits came, pretty spicy which helped, but the grits were watery and loose which took away from the enjoyment of the dish. Wait staff is great, large selection of beers, neat historic location, but a hit or miss kitchen.
Byers Street Bistro. This has always been a favorite place of mine. It is a shame that it is going down hill and is being managed so poorly. The food used to be wonderful casual dining style food and now they seem to have changed their menu and raised their prices. The service was bad and the food was not very good nor worth the money. Definitely will not be dining there again soon.
