GREAT PIZZA. When we want REALLY GOOD pizza, we make the trek to Staunton — Shenandoah Pizza is far and away our favorite pizza place. We’ve eaten here many times, pizza has always been excellent. Crust is perfect, toppings yummy, and I’ve never had a problem finding something delicious on their extensive beer list! It takes a little while for the pizza to bake, but if you want fast food, McDonalds isn’t far away….
Pizza is hit or miss. But when its a hit its delicious. So it’s a gamble. They do offer a variety of toppings and styles of pizza. Beer selection looks good on paper, however, the beers are mostly not available, mostly. Service is incredibly painfully slow. So plan ahead. It’s takes at least an hour. Don’t go if you are starving because you will die before you get your food. Servers are mostly teenagers, half the time you get what you order, this particularly pertains to ordering appetizers. Make sure to look over your check, sometimes you get charged for things you never got. If you have time to kill and are a gambler try it.
Great Pizza, but you’ll wait for it. The pizza here is really pretty tasty. There is one with Virginia grapes, Gorgonzola, and rosemary. One of a kind. But, plan on being their around an 1 hour because the food takes awhile the and the service is pretty poor at times.
Wide variability. We have eaten there on several occasions and are about ready to cross it off of our list. There is absolutely NO consistancy to the service or product. The first time I went I had one of the best pizzas i have ever eaten but since then it has ranged from mediocre to terrible. I hate to see this as that first pizza was really REALLY good and I had hoped to be a regular customer. Too bad…
I do like the pizza and wings. However, service is usually slow, slow, slow and they NEVER have the beer you want. Pick out 4 or 5 and you MIGHT get one off your list. I have also ordered cheese sticks and gotten them after my dinner was served….twice.
Pizza. Beer list is fascinating and the pizza toppings good. The weak link is the crust. Seems their pizza oven must be about 100s of degrees too cool….even right out of the oven, the crust is always flaccid with no good char on it anywhere. With so much going for it, the location, the decor, quality toppings, the beer….really, the beer, the crust is always a huge disappointment and seems out of keeping with all that is right.
