The food is ok, however the service is terrible. I love to support black owned businesses, however, business owners should not allow ghetto and rude employees to be the face of their establishments. The waitress acted like we were bothering her, she was rude and inattentive unless she was talking to her friends at the bar.
I loved it!!! Yes it’s small and from the outside you might be like whoa what is this? But the food?! Amazing. I had the catfish , Mac and cheese, and greens. I can’t wait to go back. My girlfriend had whiting and cabbage, while others at our table had wings, chicken and waffles, and crab cakes. It is definitely worth trying! Don’t let the bad reviews deter you please!
Poor Presentation/Service. I visited the restaurant over the weekend. I must say I was very disappointed. The presentation of the restaurant was horrible. The place looks nothing like the photos on the website; it looks more like a takeout Deli. No one greeted me as I entered the establishment, I seated myself. The seating arrangement was not good. I sat at a table for 4 and the bar area was right up on me. The waiters gave satisfactory service, however when they were not attending to the customers they were talking with friends at the bar or on the cell phones. Trash was visible and over flowing for the customers to see in front of the kitchen window where food is displayed. The smell of chitterlings cooking gave the restaurant a foul odor. One cook did not wear any protective gear while preparing meals. The meals took too long to prepare and serve. I can’t begin to rate this place because it needs a lots of work, and a health inspection. I chose this restaurant because of the great reviews the chef received in the Hampton Roads magazine. The Editor of the magazine may want to take a visit and rate the restaurant. I support a lot of African American owned businesses, but I have to say Krush is not at all a facility I would want to recommend to anyone.
The worst!. This resturant has really gone down the drain , they have one person working there and she running around from the bar to the tables ..they didnt have anything that was on the menu ..the waiter got an attituide with us because we questioned items on our plate that we didnt order…so if they dont have what you request they put anything on your plate ..This establishment need to close down it’s piss poor service, food thats warmed up instead of prepared and the environment is just awful ..dont waste your time it is not like the old Krush..teh new owners need to get it together.
Sloooow…. I went because I heard good things about it from my wife. Waited forever to just get a drink order placed. With 20-25 minutes elapsed, a full staff standing around without a care, and no drink in sight; my wife and I left. The place is too small to have such piss poor service. Very disappointed.
LOVED IT. I took my husband there for an early dinner date about 2 weeks ago. The Asian salmon was to die for. He had these really great sea scallops that I ate most of. The atmosphere was really nice and intimate with a kinda posh big city feel. We really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this cozy little place to everyone.
Mixed feelings.. I don’t know how they stay open cause I never see anyone in there. I think it may be going the way of Fussion 440 as the quality and cleanliness has gone down. Very overpriced when I have gone there for the portions you get.A year ago I would say fantastic but stick to getting just the martinis now.
