It was late at night and they welcomed us like we were the first table of the evening. Service was excellent and the food was fantastic.
We are vegan and there are several delicious appetizers and entrees for us to choose. In fact we recently visited Taste of Tandoor and were treated to the best vegan mango lassi! We do hope this become a regular part of the menu in the future. Taste of Tandoor in Woodbridge and Guru Fine Indian Cuisine in Fredericksburg (same owners) has very delicious food a great service.
Ok. This place used to be really good. Lately its been mediocre at best. The rice was dry and the butter chicken was watery. There were only 5 items total on the buffet. If you want really good Indian food try Masala Magic down the street.
The Best Indian in the Area, with exceptions…. There are three unique Indian restaurants in the Woodbridge area, and Taste of Tandoor is most certainly my favorite when it comes to taste and quality. Everything to me just tastes more like it was made from a home kitchen and not a restaurant. I honestly haven’t had a bad dish, and I’ve tried a lot. I will say though that the portion sizes feel somewhat skimpy compared to the other two in the area. Not only that but the buffet doesn’t even touch its competitor down the road. It’s the best in the area, but not exactly well rounded.
Little needs saying. While the service can be either really good or really bad, I am willing to overlook rough service for the Tandoori Shrimp, which is probably one of the best meals i’ve ever had.
Yum. Really good food (except the garlic naan didn’t have much garlic flavor), but the service was kind of weird.
After hearing much about the restaurant, I finally decided to give it a try. What I experienced could not have been further from the reviews. There were only three parties in the restaurant. The service was extremely poor and the food was extremely bland. I would have gone back to try different dishes but the extreme poor level of service convinced me never to return.
