My husband is argentine and really enjoyed the sweetbread, chorizo, and many of the meats. I am not a red meat eater so I had the salads, veg and chicken. I was sick to the stomach the rest of the night. I found the place to be overpriced and just ok. The service on the other hand was wonderful and the staff very friendly. The chef spoke with my husband for quite a while since he is argentine also. I just wish the food matched the service and nice decor.
Horrible dry jerky. Overpriced Jerky. I don’t write reviews often, only if I feel something was amazing, or just absolutely horrible. With that said, The Knife gets categorized in the absolutely horrible group. Beef, veal, chicken, pork… It’s all been left over the coals so long it has been dehydrated, and there is no flavor to any of it except the sausages, which are also dry. Usually, at an all you can eat restaurant like this I get my fill of meat and make it worth my money, however, there was nothing worth having seconds of in this place. Even the waiter only suggested a couple of the beef options because he noted that the chicken was always too dry. The sides on the salad bar were okay, but you don’t pay $35/person to fill up on sides at a steak house. A bottle of table wine and a desert is included in the $35, but my 12 year old daughter and my pregnant wife can’t have wine, yet it is still $35 each. My only positive note is that the staff were friendly. Bottom line, if you like dried out, unseasoned jerky, you’ll get it here, otherwise, there are any other steakhouses nearby that will leave you full and pleased for just as much, or less, than The Knife.
