Wonderful. This place is awesome. The converted mill with the old equipment hanging from the ceiling is a really nice setting. The waitstaff is professional and attentive. The food was excellent. I had the shrimp and grits and was not disappointed. My dining companion had the salmon (said it was the best she’d ever had – cooked perfectly).

Outstanding in every way- The Mill is our favorite in the area by a long shot. Fantastic service and food you would double for in DC.

The calamari is exceptional. Simply delicious, comforting food in a stunning atmosphere.

Love it. We’ve eaten there a few times and have never had a meal we didn’t love. I see the other comments about their creativity–I guess I understand that but I felt that the food was interesting enough to make me want to go back and try other things, and that what we DID have was prepared well and tasted great. Magnolia’s is definitely where we take out of town guests when we want a nice place to eat.

Beautiful atmosphere, good eats. Beautifully renovated, this old mill has been transformed into a lovely restaurant. I love the hanging quilt art. Beer selections here are broadly diverse and the bar atmosphere is friendly. The food is excellent. We have typically had decent service and enjoyed memorable meals here. We had a bad server once who ignored us completely and we complained. The restaurant can be crowded on the weekends – there are small tables in the bar area where you can order off the full menu if you don’t want to wait. It’s also a great place for business lunches or get togethers. It can be pricey – if you are looking to save a little money – avoid the specialty drinks, try the bar menu, or go at lunchtime.

A little more creative please!. I voted that I did not like it but really for one reason. I do not like restaurant that advertise themself as fine restaurant when they are not. I do not dislike the food there, it is nice, but not exeptionnel. It is too inconsistant on the quality, that depend when the Chef is here or not. The setting is beautiful, it is very relaxing and the service is just OK. I still go back once in a while hopefull for a dish that will suprise my palate.
