It was jam-packed in Barcelona the night we visited. Our server Valerie was enthusiastic and knowledgable about her menu. She was the star of the meal. The spinach dish and garlic shrimp were the two culinary highlights, with strong, bold flavors in each. The pulpo was a hair over cooked, though the char on the outside leant good flavor. The pork belly was one-note and the chorizo was so rich, it was difficult to eat more than one slice. The beef empanadas were also very rich – a more acidic sauce would help them. bighungryshelby.com

Service exceeded my expectations at Barcelona Wine Bar. I sat outside on the patio with my fellow and on a chilly night warm, soft & furry blankets were being offered to still enjoy the night sky. The tapas are exactly that, with many to offer and the small proportion, the flavor is not compromised. While devouring several plates, each dish got better as the server recommended wine pairings to my taste and to match the dishes. I will return and recommend this one!
