Had a good business lunch here. I had the Cuban sandwich. Great spice and flavor. The place as pretty busy and a little hard to hear. The waiter brought out our food early so gave us 50% off so as to not make us feel rushed. Pretty coolGood lunch place. It did feel a bit like a chain. Not sure
I went to Clyde’s on a Saturday night for dinner and even with a early reservation we had horrible service. The server was extremely rude. We never got bread or our appetizer which was just a cheese board. The server never came to asked us how the food was or ig we wanted more to drink. Very disappointed in the service, however the food was good we just wish we could of enjoyed a better time out to dinner .
Pretty bad service. They have some really awful policy were the waiter must make all the mixed drinks. That caused the waiter to be pretty much absent all night. It took almost 3 hours to get through our dinner service.
Colossal Disappointment : ( The atmosphere is elegant and old club like still. The bathroom was clean but the food is entirely another story. The cocktail shrimp must have arrived from some plastic farm on ice. The chicken liver did not get finished & was hard. The 3 mini sliders presentation was artistic. I wanted blue cheese with it but it was subtitled with mayonnaise. The burger was over cooked and the meat tough. The French fries was lifeless with no flavor. TheThai Crispy calamari we ordered was forgotten. The steak was a colossal mistake. The mash potatoes was out of some box. Beef Milanese was below average. The Bada Bing Flatbread was hard and chewy. Chicken strips from the kids menus landed on the floor. Our bill was $125 with tip for seriously bad food. It’s a shame & quite obvious this restaurant has over lived its prime location in Reston. If we could minus 2 stars we would & never go back.
Service is mediocre and so is the food. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Solid. The few times I’ve been to Clyde’s, the food has been good. I was lured in for a decently priced lobster meal the first time and was happy with the suggested Riesling pairing. Second time, my wife and I dropped in for a light meal of soup and appetizer which were both delicious. Unfortunately, the young server did not hide his contempt at our light ordering but we didn’t let that ruin the end of the eventful day we were having.
UPDATE: My family and I received the absolute WORST service we have ever received at a restaurant at Clyde’s of Reston tonight. My expectations for wait staff are fairly benign. Typically, I just don’t want to stare at an empty glass. I don’t even expect to be checked up on. If I need something, I have no problem flagging down my waiter/waitress as they pass by. Tonight, our waitress was nowhere to be found. She brought us our drinks and took our orders, then disappeared for 40 minutes. I had to flag down a guy bussing tables to get our drinks refilled and had to walk over to the wait station to get our bill. The food was PHENOMENAL, but the service (or extreme lack thereof) COMPLETELY ruined the experience. A shame.30 Mar, 2013Service is SLOW.
