Not enough BANG for your buck. I’ve tried this restaurant SEVERAL times because I’m an optimist and I try to give a place a few chances before I cut them off my list, but, I regretfully have to post that this place is really not worth your time. I’ve been at lunch, at dinner, when it’s busy, when it’s slow, by myself, with friends… no matter what the scenario, the service is slow, the food is mediocre and NEVER spicy even if you request it. None of servers ever write down your order (which is SO annoying) and then they’re somehow perplexed when you tell them that they’ve messed something up. The decor is beautiful and seems like it would be a great place for a date night, but, the food just doesn’t live up to expectation. Not to mention that they give you fairly small portions but charge you Restonian prices$$$$. I really want to support local, family-owned businesses, but, this one I just have to let go of. 🙁
Good Thai. My wife and I arrived fairly close to closing time and greatly appreciated that they seated us without any hesitation. I had the papaya salad with grilled chicken added to it and my wife had the Pad Thai. Delicious Pad Thai and the papaya salad was light and refreshing as I needed that evening. I have had it much spicier at other places but I’m sure they could spice it up at your reaquest. I liked the option to add protein (I know chicken or shrimp were options. I can’t remember if there were more). I chose the chicken which turned out to be a small, reasonable portion of nicely grilled white meat.Nice dining room and he staff were very friendly and attentive. I believe they have been open for a matter of months now. Can’t wait to go try their curries.
