I’ve been here twice. The first time I got a hazelnut affagato, and the second time I just got a latte. The affagato was outstanding! The latte was good as well. My husband got the mango gelato and said it was delicious. We enjoyed sitting at the bar stools by the window and seeing the view outside.
The gelato isn’t among the best I’ve had. The consistency is grainy and it shouldn’t be–like it was stored too long. The flavor also has an odd tinge to it. The flavor selection is okay, but not great.
Great espresso! Everything they use is organic.
The texture is right. I haven’t had anything there I’ve been disappointed with. Cafe espresso, chocolate noir and the spicy chocolate are all noteworthy. The pisatchio and nocciola are the best I’ve had outside of Italy.
Gelatos and ice creams are my favorite food category and pitango gelato is as good as I have ever had. The chocolate noir is stunning especially when combined with the hazelnut. However there is not a bad flavor on the board. Eat anywhere you would like in Reston Town Center, but have desert at pitango.
Their hazelnut gelato is out of this world.
Great Gelato. I’m a big fan of gelato and I’m very happy that Pitango has opened a location in the Reston Town Center. The intensity and purity of the flavors is remarkable. The creaminess is very impressive. Pitango really does offer a unique and very, very satisfying Gelato experience. Many of their ingredients are organic. Some are sourced locally, while others are sourced from Italy and Sicily. They don’t use any fillers, which is rare even for premium ice cream and gelato. The website has some excellent information. Some will complain that the prices are high, but given the level of quality – ingredients and preparation – I think Pitango offers good value. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.
