World-Class Culinary Experience in Reston, VA. On New Year’s Eve, my wife and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary at Vinifera Wine Bar & Bistro in Reston, and it was, in a word, EXTRAORDINARY. The food, the wine, the service and the ambiance all came together to make this evening truly memorable. Of course, Vinifera didn’t know if was our wedding anniversary, but you’d think we were the only ones in the restaurant with the service we got – especially since it was New Year’s Eve. Thanks folks for a terrific night!
Wow. WOW Reston has an alternative to Passion Fish. Went here this evening to celebrate b’day’s and anniversaries and were not disappointed. We ordered a bottle of Dom and were served many complimentary appetizers/sliders/charcuterie plate. Then went into dinner. My sweetie had the paella, our dinner companions had the lamb rack and the ahi tuna while I had the crispy barramundi. Every meal was exceptional and the service was outstanding
Go see the Enoteca!. Vinifera has just installed an Enoteca machine, which enables flawless preservation and sample pours and glasses of excellent wine – the kind of wines they couldn’t ordinarily afford to sell just a taste or glass of. Charcuterie and cheese platters were excellent accompaniments. Absolutely outstanding for a hotel restaurant/bar. I wish we could go back, but the fact that we live on the other side of the continent makes that unlikely.
Just plain bad – don’t waste your money. Stopped for lunch on recommendation of a friend. It was quiet which was nice, but the food was terrible. I had the chicken caesar salad and the chicken was so dry it was nearly impossible to eat. The 2 chunks of lettuce were bland and the dressing seemed older than the chicken. And all for $14!! I won’t be back and don’t recommend this to anyone.
I love the atmosphere and the paella was an unexpected treat. I only wish it was warmer so I could sit out on the patio by the fire and have my glass if wine.
Excellent food. Nice atmosphere. Great service in beginning then slow for dessert.
Dinner on April 17. We went for dinner with a 745 reservation. It was not a packed house when we arrived but when we were leaving the bar area started to pick up. This is a great place to go and eat. Now if you don’t order wine be prepared to wait for you drink from the bar. I finished my first course before our martini and mojito came to our table. I order the lamb chops and my wife ordered the honey glazed chicken. Everything was cooked just right and was really good. We ordered desert and my wife had just about finished her desert as I waited for my drink again from the bar. The food was good, the bar service was not.
