It’s exactly what you expect. Ariannas food matches well with its appearance, nothing special and nothing terrible. I frequent here because its proximity and its tasty food that doesn’t try to stray far from Americanized Italian food. Expect to have a pleasant, however not an outstanding/authentic experience.

Great time ,great food. It was our first time on wednesday night and did not know what to expect. The service was great and the waitress timed our appitizers before our meal perfect. My husband and I were informed on Arianna’s tuesday pizza special and would like to try it soon. Great Halloween decor . A++ food in the Fan!

Weird taste. We ordered the Roasted Vegetable specialty pizza and it was just weird!! Carmelized veggies- sorta sweet & sorta sour- like vinager- not pleasant! Also had a pepperoni pizza- ok- not great. Oh well- guess we will have to stick with Mary Angela’s.

We Used to be Friends (A long time ago). Trust me, the catchy Dandy Warhole’s song title is all the cheer you’ll encounter when dealing with this place. When Arianna’s first opened, they were awesome. Phenomenal food, though the service was a little slow and the menu seemed rather small outside of pizza, but it was all great, so it didn’t matter. Then. . .something happened. The Chicken Parmesan just. . .turned to sh*t. Did someone quit? At the same time, the wine list has suddenly expanded, and a nice collection of it takes up a wall. No, it seemed Arianna’s wanted to expand, and purchased a vacant building next door to expand into. To be more specific, to expand a bar into. Yes, it’s the return of the food-killer, the bar. People who own restaurants know that bars bring in loads of cash, but the VABC license requires they sell a certain amount of food. if they don’t, they lose the license. So Arianna’s turned itself into a wine bar. An upscale wine bar. Or, at the very least, it wants to be. This reviewer doesn’t enjoy drinking, so I’m not an expert, but I know this from when I used to; Ordering wine at a bar generally is a good way to get screwed. Given that they have a selection and make their waiters dress kinda penquin-y, I’m assuming Arianna’s has a leg up on wine and the waiters can, for example, tell you if the red wine they have is one type for another. If you try this at Bandito’s (And I did!), they’ll just huff and tell you again that they have red. . .and wine. Any more questions and they’ll tell you it’s a ‘house wine’, a term that means it’s cheap wine bought in bulk, which is hopefully not something you hear at Arianna’s. If the waiter tells you they have house wine, assume the rule (It sucks) and not the exception (It’s great) and don’t drink it. Your taste buds will love you. Recently, my boyfriend decided to give them a try (Okay–Belmont Pizzeria was closed, we admit it.) He came back after a half hour or more. Sadly, Arianna’s really went to hell. He walked in and ordered a medium cheese pizza. Nothing else. Just cheese. So after he milled around a bit and enough time had passed, he walked in to pick up the pizza. And the order was wrong. He informed them of the mistake, and to their credit, they remade the pizza (But they sort of had to, right?) He still ended up with the wrong pizza, but gave up in trying to get the staff to make a plain, cheese pizza. And worse, he didn’t eat the whole pizza, which is a big sign it sucked. I’m pretty sure I’m actually dating Ralphael from the Ninja Turtles, because he’s a pizza addict, and a pizza addict who always eats every last slice. But he reported Arianna’s pizza tasted no different than cheap, skating-rink pizza. . .except skating-rink pizza is better and has our childhood memories involved. This, he told me, sucked, and he was never, ever going to go there again under any circumstance. Honestly, skip this place unless you’re looking for a wine bar. If you want decent pizza and Belmont Pizzeria is closed. . .may we suggest 7-11’s pizza-by-the-slice?

Roast Cheese. After finding our local fave Stuffy’s gone… we called in an order for pick up. We were in the mood for subs, so I tried the Italian (it was OK) and ordered a cheese sub for the wife. While it’s not on the menu, I explained we just wanted cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato. She’s a vegetarian. Well, pick up the order, head home and somehow the cheese became a roast beef? So, just be careful when phoning in the order. Crappy thing is that after we got there, we found out they have a Caprese sub… which is essentially what we were ordering. Also… a bit pricey, but you do get a lot of sub. Want to try the pizza’s one of these days.

Great pizza. Family-oriented place in the Museum District with some of the best pizza in town. The pasta dishes are delicious, too, and are huge!
