It’s basically a hole in the wall next to the Chinese bus station, but the food was delicious. My son had the beef Tibs. The owner warned that it was spicy, but we didn’t think it was very spicy. It was amazingly flavorful. I had the fuull. Better than I make at home. Way better.It takes a while (20 minutes) to prepare the food. WE watched Ethiopian music videos while we waited. They were pretty good.I’m going back next week for lunch, but I’ll call an order in ahead of time.
My wife and I decided to give Elsa a try for dinner on Dec 30th. The cafe part of the establishment consists of a few tables and the market part displays spices and ingredients for sale. We chose the vegetarian platter and the lamb awaze tibs. When the food arrived, the waitress (and cook and co-owner, we suspect) took the time to explain what each dish was and if it was spicy or not. We absolutely loved the food, and it’s not often you get to eat with your hands and not get glared at. The owners were very friendly and delightful to talk to. Give them a try – the food is authentic and tasty, and the owners are nice folk.
