Really good and super fresh sushi at a very reasonable price. we found this place bc of the great reviews and it did not disappoint! like others have said, the service isn’t the friendliest but the sushi makes up for it 🙂
Terrible experience. The sushi was barely mediocre. The hibachi entrees the same. The server was extremely rude and unfriendly. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but I don’t know what restaurant the reviewers who said positive things went to.It’s not disgusting but it’s not good either.
LOVE THIS PLACE!. Found this place by looking up reviews for the area this week. OMG. This is my sushi place now. We ordered the party platter – new york, spicy tuna, sweet potato, avocado, volcano, california, & salmon and avocado rolls. Comes with miso soup as well. No joke, its a ton of food for a very reasonable price. And EVERYTHING – even the simple avocado roll – was AWESOME. The best sushi we have found in RVA thus far! So fresh. If you are considering it, just do it. We order online and it has been ready at the set time both times. Been twice in 4 days ::covers face:: It’s THAT good.
AWESOME food and OK service. All of the sushi here is amazing! Very fresh and good size portions. I eat here probably twice a week.Service isn’t the friendliest, but they get the job done. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent tasting sushi
This place is near my work so I came in for lunch. It was very delicious and reasonably priced. Might be my new favorite sushi place in Richmond. We split gyoza, and two rolls as well as miso soup. It was all delicious.
I’ve eaten here a few times before and always loved it. Tonight I placed a delivery order and was equally as pleased. The order was at my door in 15 minutes. The orchid roll is AMAZING. Love this place!
Excellent Fish For The Purist. You’ll find the highest grade sashimi and rolls at Mike’s place. He doesn’t go for a lot of bells and whistles; you get sushi that needs no fancy embellishments. We’ve had great service from his waitress Jeanette. With a cup of sake and the world music playing in the background, Mai Sushi is a great place to relax and enjoy. Thankfully, there is no TV!
