The atmosphere is refined and traditional. Yes, there is a hint of a market smell, just enough to make me think of Chinatown NYC, not inappropriate in an authentic Chinese restaurant. We tried two dishes, the Seven Spices Chicken, and another from the menu of dinner specials. Both were delicious, with plenty of fresh vegetables perfectly steamed and in a nice sauce. Service was fast. Mixed drinks good. Enjoyable for a calm dinner with quiet for conversation.

Not impressed. The place stunk and the carpet looked nasty.

Bad, bad, bad. That is how the food, atmosphere, and service were. The place stinks of stale, wet carpet. The food took 40 minutes to come (other tables that were served before us arrived 20 minutes after we did), and the food was no better than your run of the mill delivery joint. I forgot, after our 40 minute wait the food came out cold.Never again. If you like smelly restaurants, bad service, and mediocre food give it a try.

A good meal. Vegetable lo mein was tasty, with just a slight bit of chili. My wife’s homestyle bean cake (tofu) with veggies in brown sauce was even better. Complimentary chinese tea. Good service, almost elegant surroundings, and inexpensive.AKA Peking Restaurant.
