Unexpected Gem. This bar has become my go-to for drinks in Rosslyn (a place where I feel good bars and restaurants go to die… is that just me?). It’s tucked into an awkward corner of an office building, which makes it easy to pass by. However, once inside it’s spacious and cheerfully decorated. They have pool and board games (never tried either), two bars, and ample table and booth seating, making it a great place for a crowd or a more intimate drink with a friend. (Not a particularly romantic spot, though!) The bar tenders have always been very courteous and friendly. The location is extremely accessible–just a block away from the Rosslyn metro, with a bus stop and Georgetown shuttle stop right down the road. After 5 p.m. you can park on the rooftop garage for free, though the first time you try you might have to drive around the block a couple times to find the entrance!Happy hour drink and food prices are great–probably comparable to other happy hour menus. There is a range of typical bar food available, which in my experience is cooked consistently well. You won’t find a particularly adventurous menu, but sometimes you just want a good plate of nachos. This is the place for that. The only drawback–you can rent the place for private functions, which has sometimes resulted in me heading over there only to be disappointed.
