Went there recent with a friend for lunch. It was one of the best Mexican food experiences that I have had in the D.C. Metro area. I had the enchiladas and my friend has the chocolate mole. We were both quite satisfied with our meal.
I just ate at this restaurant and it is by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The food wasn’t the issue, it was the terrible service. They were rude, sarcastic, and unattentive. As someone who works in customer service, I would never let this happen at my establishment. You treat the customer with respect. I will never come here again.
Standard Mexican fare. Except for some pretty tasty salsa i found not much to distinguish this place from any other suburban strip mall Mexican. The plates were big but the prices matched (this is not under $10 entree. Most are between $12 and $16) we were three for dinner. One guy liked it. One gal said so-so, and I didn’t like it. I guess that means it’s just average.
Solid Option. While Guajillo may not offer up the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, it does perform consistently with tasty (if a bit overpriced) entrees, nicely proportioned drinks (yes, you can tell they’re alcoholic), and delicious chips and salsa (requisite for any Mexican joint worth its tortillas). If you’re a plantain nut, don’t forget to order a plate for an appetizer–they’re terribly addictive.
