Food was good, service poor. We stayed at the nearby Hyatt on a trip and tried here the first night because it was in walking distance. We just ordered 1 pizza and that was plenty for the 2 of us. The food was good and the restaurant had some different pizza choices than I’ve seen before. The service however was terrible, so don’t expect much in that department. Besides that it was good though.
First time consumer. I was looking for something close to the hotel. The service was fast and friendly but the food left much to be desired. I purchased a small pepperoni pizza to go. The topping was concentrated on one half of the pizza and was so spicy my mouth felt like it was on fire. Overall I wasn’t impressed with the pizza but the service was excellent.
This place is fantastic. I had the Rossa pizza (basil, mozz & diced tomatoes on thin crust) and it was top 5 best pizzas I’ve ever had. I also had a Strawberry Caipitoska (vodka, sugar, lime & meddled strawberries) which was absolutey delicious. The service is pretty lousy, but I would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting Rosslyn!
Good food, poor service. The food has always been delicious here. I’ve gone many times. The bill is also reasonable for Rosslyn – about $15 per person for lunch. However, the service has always been questionable. I don’t just mean that the service was slow, or that it took forever for them to bring the check (although it was, and they did). I’ve never had the same server or the same busboy. I’d like to see at least one recognizable face in there. I think I got the same hostess twice, but that’s it. Why does it matter? Well, for one thing, I’m pretty sure that someone in my group had their credit card number stolen at Piola when they paid. We’d never seen that guy work there before, but then again, we’d never seen anyone working that day before either. Pay in cash at Piola, seriously.
After waiting at our table for over an hour, they tell us they don’t have dishes we ordered. Never eating here again
Simple and fresh. Had the quinoa appetizer. Arrugula side salad and margherita pizza and panna cotta A good choice for a quick informal meal.
Best Pizza in town. Those who didn’t like this place probably like eating at Pizza Hut. I lived in Italy for three years and Piola’s has, by far, the most authentic Italian Pizza in the area (possibly the U.S.). If you don’t like this pizza I recommend you avoid pizza if you every visit Italy.
