Can’t rest on the laurels of a great view!. Yes…the view of Georgetown is amazing, looking out over the Potomac, but the experience quickly turns to disappointing when the food finally arrives. This was my second bad experience at this establishment, and my last. I chose the benchmark 8 oz filet. The salad was uneventful, other than the long wait for the main course. There were not many people in the place, so I’ll attribute the delayed delivery of my lukewarm dinner to the inattentive barkeep. I would have actually sent it back, if he had been present to do so. The filet was good quality and cooked to order, however, the foil-pack Barnaise was cold, as were the vegetables. The presentation was reminiscent of a bad cafeteria line in elementary school, and not what I’d expect from a $28 entree. Go up for a drink, then head up Wilson to the many great eateries, (Village Bistro) or across the bridge to Georgetown where you’ll find plenty of places that won’t disappoint (Piccolo).
