Great food! I love the stuffed chicken medallions, but the real showstopper was the dip sampler. The avocado cream is so good. We were there during happy and took advantage of the drink specials.
Just awful. Yet another reminder why we don’t eat at chair restaurants anymore. As my husband put it, the food was barely one step up from Taco Bell. They used yellow cheese (probably cheddar) in their enchiladas and the food was so generic. The green salsa (I wouldn’t call it salsa verde) was very sweet. The service was gracious and friendly, though. The young man was new but very competent. I also liked that you could pay your bill via tablet at the table so we could escape quickly.
Consistently delectable food. It strikes me as odd that those who say it’s not ‘authentic’ have likely never eaten real Mexican food (sorry, but Tex-Mex and Cal-Mex don’t qualify). This is flavored/seasoned in true Mexican style. And by the way, it’s quite affordable, considering the quality. This mexicano recommends Abuelo’s highly. Head and shoulders above other local wannabe joints.
