This place refused to deliver to us because we were paying in cash. Where I work, we get a food allowance each day that is given in cash to the person in charge of ordering. Every day of the week, we place both a lunch and dinner order with a number of restaurants in the area. This is the only one that has ever given us a problem, saying that our order was too much to pay in cash. ($75) Alex’s Thai will not be getting our business in the future, which could have been a few times a week. Their loss.

Decent Thai food. It’s pretty good. I work right up the block from this place, and have eaten there a few times. It’s nothing special compared to other Thai places in town, but it’s certainly not bad at all. I have never been disappointed by the food or service, and the prices are reasonable. A friend and I were able to share an appetizer and pot of tea plus 2 entrees for around $25, and the portions were generous enough for each of us to get boxes and have another meal later.

Would eat here again. I was in the area and was looking for good food, quick, and at a good price. I ordered the chicken pad thai it was tasty. My boyfriend had the green curry and said it was a good dinner at well. We both were full and happy for under 20 bucks, with quick and courteous service.

Way better than elephant thai. I always go here, prices are moderate, waitress is amazing! just ask for sarah i think thats there best one, they usually just have only one server, but she’s great at helping you choose new dishes take her advice!.i had the green curry not watery , slightly spicy it had a lot of greens! the chicken was actually cooked, thai tea sweet and i even got to choose what type of milk i wanted in it, they brought beautiful spice trays for my food desert was amazing and the brown rice which is kinda purple is amazing, all under 15 bucks!

Gone waayyy downhill. Go elsewhere.. Alex’s used to be pretty OK. Never great by any means, but convenient and good enough. However, the last two times we’ve ordered from there, the food has been just terrible. Nothing has even a bit crispiness – it’s all just a boiled, tasteless mass. Frozen chicken boiled to death then thrown in with some soggy vegetables doesn’t cut it. Moreover, Thai food isn’t supposed to be bland, but this was. No hint of fish sauce, lemongrass, or galangal, or any of the other fresh spices that makes Thai food Thai food. Even the sauces have morphed into sugary molasses based monstrosities with little resemblance to anything Thai. Sad to say, but we’ve been to Alex’s for the last time.

Good veggie choices. Lots of tofu, a little vietnamese twist, pretty good for Richmond.

Awful Horrible Place. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! The customer service is beyond horrible and their food is probably the worst thai I have ever had, including thai places you can find at a mall (ie Tara Thai is much better). They would not honor a coupon we had and treated us terribly in the process. We ordered pick up over the phone and told them we had a coupon then when we went to pick it up were told it was expired (which it wasn’t) and then that it was dine in only (which it doesn’t say anywhere on the actual coupon) and then that we could only use one of the two specials on the coupon. They were obviously just not trying to honour it and are very cheap and non customer service driven. Luckily it didn’t even make me sad to blacklist them because of how bad their food was once we got home.I would recommend Thai Diner II, Ginger Thai, Elephant Thai, or Made In Asia if you want thai food, don’t eat here. If you are downtown and simply looking for a place Cafe Gutenburg is amazing, Havannah 59 is great, and Lulus is good. Hopefully they will be going out of business soon and a better restaurant will move into such a great space. Very disappointing too given how much I love food and thai food!
