I came to Grace Noodle about a week and a half ago with my daughter and her new husband. I have passed this restaurant many times on my way to work and have thought about trying it out. But it was not until my daughter expressed a yearning for Asian food that I suggested Grace Noodle, so we came in, not knowing what to expect, despite looking it up on our cellphones and seeing favorable reviews. We came in early, to beat the lunch rush, and were promptly met by the host who told us to sit anywhere; we sat next to the window;). It is not a fancy place but it is clean, austere and with high ceilings. The host was very polite and attentive. We ordered different bowls of Noodles; I got the Kimchi one. We also ordered an appetizer of yaki tako (fried veggie and octopus balls), which was good. The bowl had a lot of noodles and vegetables along with some pork that I added. The broth was quite good. I ate most of it and was pretty full and satisfied. My daughter and her husband enjoyed their bowls as well :)I would like to visit again, and my daughter would come back next time she is in town.

This place is good! They make their own noodles, the atmosphere lacks decoration, but the broth is savory, the noodles have a great consistency, and the food is very affordable.

This place is amazing and so authentic! All the workers there are Japanese, and so polite to you. When I went I had the kimchi fried rice and my friend got the kimchi ramen. My plate was $7.99 and HUGE! I tried my friend’s dish too and they were both delicious. AND everything on their menu is $10 or under for very generous portions, unlike some of the other Asian restaurants in Richmond that feel more like the Olive Gardens of Asian cuisine. This place has a great selection of different kinds of ramen as well, along with other Japanese dishes like takoyaki and yakisoba. It’s really hard to find Japanese food that tastes good and still feels authentic, but I’m so thankful for Grace Noodle is around.
