Absolutely deliscious food! Mojitos are a little sweet, but still good & worth a try. Wait staff is extremely nice & atmosphere is cool, extremely un-RVA. This place is a diamond in the rough; I would recommend to anyone!
Too pricey, food sucks. Best thing going was the box of free matches
Horrible Service and Mojito. Have not been in awhile and was reminded why tonight. The mojito was completely pathetic, tasted like a glass of simple syrup with some mint. The waiter had zero personality, never asked about the meal, never apologized about the drink, our water glasses had to be filled by another waitress passing by, who then pretty much took care of us the rest of the night, she was very pleasant and I wish I could have tipped her instead. We always get the pork morsels, used to come with the tasty potato sticks, well they have been replaced with fried plantains, which we received 2 little specs of, had to ask for more, received 3. We tried to get another glass of wine but the waiter informed us it was 3minutes past the cutoff for happy hour, seriously!!, he disappeared for 10minute intervals at a time, so it reflected on his tip. The main meals were meh, nothing to really write about here, not sure of when another visit will be in order, there must be a place around town that knows how to make a proper mojito!!
I came here for the salsa night (Thur) and went downstairs for some grub when I got hungry. I had the mofongo creollia, plantain bread pudding with a mango rum sauce, and mango mojito. Mofongo Creollia – the sauce and the mofongo itself were flavorful. The vegetable inside the mofongo could use some more seasoning. Plantain bread pudding – delicious and the whipped cream complimented the bread pudding. Mango mojito – was there any alcohol in it AT ALL?
Mojitos are amazing! Great atmosphere. Definitely check it out when the weather is nice as they open up the windows and have great open, outdoor space.
Great atmosphere. Food is too small of portions for the price.
The mojito was below average and I thought they were known for good mojitos. The food was flavorless. The smoking room was really smoky. They need to improve the ventilation. I expected it to be smoky but it was like an airport smoking room in there. I
