If you haven’t been lately, do yourself a favor and try it again!. I’ve been eating at Poe’s Pub for years. Seems they’ve kicked it up a notch! We went last Friday night and I literally had one of the best meals ever. My friends got the jambalaya with toasted bread points and the beef brisket with fries and they were both very happy. I got a perfectly cooked sirloin with Irish Whisky butter served on real mashed potatoes with fresh asparagus and toasted bread points. It was displayed beautifully on the plate. I’m not a dessert fan, but when AA got the peanut butter chocolate pie I had to dive in. The peanut butter cheesecake melted in your mouth, no chewing required. The cookie crust was crunchy and the chocolate ganache to die for. It was VCU tournament night and as busy as they were, the service was phenomenal. Everything I ate was fresh and homemade. Can’t wait to go back again.
