Good Food, Lousy Service. Good Food, Lousy service.Reading all the reviews about their service, it does not appear that Mr. Reddy has taken any of the feedback to heart. The same issues continue time after time. If he wants this restaurant to work, he needs to pay for and hire decent wait staff because he and his relative are clearly not cutting it.We ordered the goat curry, naans, mutter paneer and roti. Each dish arrived on its own time. The goat curry arrived first with no naans or roti in sight. The roti was the last to arrive. I found myself getting more and more irritated.This restaurant is not going last very long if they don’t take drastic measures to improve upon the service.

Snail’s pace Lunch Staff. Arrived at Alcove shortly after 12:30p, seated immediately upon arrival, and did not leave until 2pm. Oh, I failed to mention we were a party of four. All the tables were occupied, and there were only two servers. We did not receive our food until 20 after 1p. The food was delish although, two of us requested extra spicy entres and they were mild. We later found out that they were short staffed today, so I will be going back.

My brothers and I came to Richmond when my father had surgery aand walked into The Alcove when it had just opened–menus weren’t even finished. The food was AMAZING! Staff was friendly and brought us complimentary appetizers bc out food was going to takea little time- which it really didn’t. The heat level of all the dishes were exactly as we ordered and were big portions. I will be back when we are in Richmond again!
