This visit wasn’t my first time here, but it will be my last. My husband’s appetizer was significantly later to the table than mine (like 10 minutes later), we had to ask where the side dish we had ordered was once our meals came, my lobster tail was overlooked and the steak was unimpressive. The best thing about the meal was the bottle of wine, but we had to refill our glasses ourselves. The meal was so bad we left without ordering dessert, although we had originally intended to get it when the night began.
The best steak I’ve ever had. Other dishes, sides, appetizers, all average when compared to gourmet restaurants. The steak was prime beef and melted into mouth. Totally worth 50 per steak. Think about it like this, if George bush wanted a steak he’d go to Morton’s.
Best First Date. Every dish was absolutely delicious. We loved their tasty shrimp alexander and tender filet mignon along with the chocolate mousse and horseradish mashed potatoes. Best first date ever!
Good try…..but…… I have eaten at numerous Morton’s steak houses throught the country. Wait staff not bad, all steaks were overcooked, escargot ( new appetizer) not impressive at all. Scallops just perfect. Just found out Resturant chain is under new ownership( all of them) new way of serving and new food selections. I have eaten at some truly great Morton resturants, this one was average. Mangement took care of mistakes and was very professional about it.
For great steak, go to Morton’s. I’ve been to Morton’s a few times, and the last two times I have enjoyed a delicious meal at the bar. Sean the bartender has great suggestions, is a fantastic host, and has never led me astray.Steaks are juicy, delicious, and every time I’ve been there have been perfectly cooked. I pretty much only get the double cut filet mignon – how can you go wrong?No, it’s not cheap – but if you want a great steak it’s the place to go.
Good Food… Moderate Service. Went for a business dinner. Initially, service was pretty good as orders for drinks, food, and sides was quite prompt and informative. Wine order was a bit muddled as the waiter was not familiar with the wine stock and had to call on another member of the wait staff. to validate Food was very good… steaks cooked as specified and very flavorful. Sides were good and arrived on time and as ordered. Dessert was interesting…. the order was taken in short order after the table was cleared… the waiter went around the table taking dessert orders… when he got to me I said that I wanted a Tawny Port and would like to see the Port menu. He left the table and we never saw him again. After 20 minutes the ordered desserts arrived, presented by another waiter. After another 5 minutes, another waiter showed up with the Port. I had not ordered a particualr Port as I had never been presneted with the Port menu. I was tempted to protest, but after waiting 25 mintues for dessert/port, I just wanted to move on.
Will never return. The Food was bland, portions were scares and over priced. The Entrees did not come with a sideorder, can u believe this… You pay 30$ for a 6oz steak and have to pay $10 more for a baked potatoe. Unreal. Cancan, Texas de Brazil, Copper Grill are better choices.
