Good little place. I came here for my office party during the holidays, and the food was really good. I had the fried calamari for an app. and also I tried the crab dip, and both where delicious!! For my main course I had the lobster, and yes it was small, but it was really well cooked. I had asparagus on the side and that was cooked well too. I didnt have any room for dessert, but I did have a drink, and that was prepared well.
Great food and service. My girlfriend and I ventured into Richmond today and tried this little place. For an app, we ordered the pan seared scallops with applewood bacon. This was my first time ever trying a scallop and I loved it. Amazing taste and the bacon adds a nice suttle crunch to the dish. For the entree, my girlfriend ordered the Grilled Shrimp. Food was cooked perfectly and it was delicious. The mashed potatos were amazing as well. I ordered the crab cakes. Best. Crabcakes. I. Have. Ever. Had. The sauce served on them was delicious too. For desert, creme brulee’. Equally amazing. The server was great as well, knew the menu and knew how to sell his food. Overall it was great.
Love the food! I had the rib and crab leg combo and it was amazing. Great place for a date night or anniversary dinner.
Perfect Tonight!. On a night when we rolled into town for a wedding we got stuck on dinner plans. No place would accepts a reservation for our large group. Besides several wedding parties booked into the Omni Hotel it also happened to be Prom Night. Hard Shell to the rescue. The reservations were a little later than we had hoped but they were able to accommodate 17 people at one large table! The service for our large group was impeccable!Nice oysters, great beer selection, she crab soup was good not great, shrimp and grits good not great. People loved the seafood pasta. My wife’s lobster tail was reported as pretty good. I heard good things about a shrimp and scallop dish and happy reports about crab cakes. Bottom line this was the perfect restaurant for us this night.
Excellent experience. We had the Blue Point Oysters and they were perfect. My wife’s She Crab soup was outstanding and the entrees, Salmon for me and the Seared Tuna for her, was perfectly done. Surprisingly the Sauteed Spinach was big show stealer…Overall great food and fantastic atmosphere
Wonderful food, impeccable service. Okay, it’s not cheap, but the atmosphere, service and food were amazing! We don’t venture into downtown mid-week very often, but had a friend in from out of town. This was a wonderful pick and we will definitely go back!
Great friendly service, but a bit of trouble in the kitchen.. I ordered a filet medium-well, it came barely cooked, sent it back and it still was medium-rare..
