Dont waste your time. I’ve been 3 times in the last year; only once was the food and the service good. Went during restaurant week 2014, everything was great (as you would expect). went 4 weeks ago with the family for a late lunch/early dinner. food was lukewarm, service was SO slow. took us nearly 2 hours; kids were bored and they don’t want to come back. went again 2 days ago with a church group of 15. after our server took our order, she wasn’t seen again for over half an hour. i personally got up from the table and served 14 people refills of tea, water and coffee. had almost an entire cup of coffee spilled on my hand from the pot while i was pouring — no problem since it WASN’T hot…lunch finally arrived; again, lukewarm. our server was a really nice college-age girl; sweet but VERY slow. honestly; wish i could recommend smithfield station. it’s in a beautiful location, right on the water. great views but the food and the service simple don’t warrant the prices and the wait. very disappointing; i won’t go back.
