Better than friends and other reviews described. Yes, it is essentially a general store with a sandwich shop in the front. The food is good and reasonably priced, especially considering the quality and portion size. We had the Cuban, the Club, and shared a bowl of the tomato basil soup. I’m not a big soup fan but loved this! We’ll be back again.
I stopped in this morning for breakfast, ordered their biscuit with egg. & bacon. The biscuit was freshly made, the bacon thick cut. & crisp. Service was excellent.Well done Taste of Smithfield!
Needed to be a little faster!. I have eaten at this restaurant twice and both times has been very slow with bringing the food to the table; however the food is fantastic and the servers are very friendly. In the future it would be the perfect place to eat if the food was brought to the table a little faster.
Got a to go order. I decided to give this restaurant another try and I am happy that I did. I ordered their Windsor Castle which is a caesar salad w/grilled chicken. It was very good, a large salad which didn’t skim on the chicken and the price was fair @ $7.99.It was ready to go when I arrived!
They helped themselves to my checking account!. They took it upon themselves to add an additional 20% to our tab, even though we marked zero on our receipt and left the tip on the table. When I called the restaurant to discuss it, the manager blamed it on our bank, and she refused to correct it. After speaking with the general manager, it was revealed that this is in an ongoing problem, but they are unwilling to accept that it is an internal issue. I was not able to resolve the problem with Taste of Smithfield, and I will not be dining there again.
Major problem with visit. My family and i recently ate at the resteraunt for my father’s day gift. the first time for me. The service was great. and a big kudos to our server Mary, i believe. How could she remember the orders for a party of 7 without writing them down? But she did perfectly. I have one complaint which is a biggie in my mind and might prevent me from ever eating there again. I wrote a tip on the receipt which was charged to my card. Upon seeing it posted to my bank account, i noticed the charge had been raised to make it reflect an even 20%. This is theft. Patrons check your paper work closely.
1st Time in town. Went site seeing and found this place, all I can say is OMG. Love it and would recommended it to anyone. Food was awesome, quiet and when you are doing Nuts galore. They same all kinds of nuts in all kinds of styles, others things also. I love the town. Will definitely come back and bring friends and family.
