Now that’s Italian! Here’s the place to go in Fredericksburg for quality knock your socks off Italian food. From stat to finish every was superb. The menu is seasonal, and everything tastes fresh picked and homemade. I personally love the spaghetti carbonara, a simple dish that’s always good and easy to make, but tough to make a superstar. They nailed it and it’s the best I have had in very, very long time. Other dishes sauces we have tried are amazing. It’s a bit limited on seating so make reservations early, or go in for lunch just to give it a try! Excellent!

Went on opening day and had the Carbonara and Caesar salad lunch special. The food was incredibly tasty and, almost more importantly, authentic. This is not your Italian-American glorified pizza joint, this is as close as I’ve had to a mainland Italian meal outside of Italy. The decor is well placed, as it occupies the alleyway that Foode used to be located at. It gives a sense of Italian charm and the decorations and Italian posters on the wall add to the ambiance. Service was excellent – I personally drink a ton of water and my glass never went empty, even after a luxurious two hour lunch. That’s difficult to find, much less on opening day. The menu, mostly in Italian, is comprehensive with each dish corresponding to a region of Italy. Prices are exceptionally reasonable, especially for lunch – my entire bill was 13 for salad, pasta, and espresso. Please, please go to this restaurant. Especially if your idea of Italian food is Chicken Parmesan and Pizza. It’s rare to have such authenticity stateside and Fredericksburg is extremely lucky to now have it.
